About Shelby Gaudette, LCSW

Serving clients in Lakeland, FL and statewide via telehealth

My Approach

As an OCD & Anxiety therapist in Lakeland, FL therapy with me is collaborative, authentic, and grounded in compassion.

You can expect structure and science but also flexibility, humor, and humanity. I believe in balancing opposing truths: therapy can be both challenging and gentle, serious and hopeful.

You’ll often hear me say things like:

“We can’t let anxiety rob you of the life you deserve.”
“Two things can be true at once.”
“I know this is hard and I believe in you.”

These reminders capture how I work: direct when needed, supportive always, and deeply invested in helping you grow.

Untethered Therapy is a space where all identities and experiences are welcome.
I affirm and celebrate clients from the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone who has felt unseen or misunderstood in traditional spaces.

My goal is to create a space where every client feels seen, respected, and safe enough to explore their truth, without fear of judgment or assumption.

Inclusivity & Social Awareness

My role isn’t to “fix” you, it’s to help you reconnect with your strength, trust yourself again, and create a life that feels meaningful and free.
